Director of Finance/CFO Julie Andress
Julie Andress is the Director of Finance/CFO for East Fork Fire Protection District. Julie has focused on developing leadership and financial integrity with 18 years of local government experience. She graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Finance. She enjoys being a resource for the
District supporting the needs of our staff and community.
Director of Finance oversees Accounts Payable, Payroll and Medical Billing staff. The Director and
team maintain the District’s financial and accounting records. Responsibilities include the planning, organizing, and management of the budget, financial and accounting activities while ensuring financial compliance for the District. The Director also works with various independence auditors and provides financial analysis for strategic discussions with the Executive Staff.
Accounting Specialist I Kara Morlan
Kara-Mia Morlan is an Accounting Specialist I. She is responsible for reviewing, posting, balancing, and reconciling financial records. She takes on tasks as needed as well as organizing, researching, and maintaining financial files. Kara makes accurate mathematical and statistical calculations for identifying and reconciling errors and discrepancies. With living in Douglas County for over 10 years with her family, Kara is happy and proud to be a part of East Fork Fire Protection District and to be able to play a bigger role in the community she has grown to love.
Accounting Specialist II Jamie Zess
Jamie Zess is the Payroll Specialist II for East Fork Fire Protection District with over 6 years in the accounting field. She moved to Nevada with her son in the summer of 2021, and joined the Douglas County community in the summer of 2022. She is responsible for the accurate processing of payroll as well as assisting our staff with any needs that may arise.
