Training Overview

The East Fork Fire and Paramedic Districts offer a wide variety of training opportunities for their members. The districts' training program and staff are recognized as one of the best in the state of Nevada and sets the standards for other agencies to follow.

The backbone of the training program is our CORE FOUR FIREFIGHTER PROGRAM. This program includes these four primary courses:

Training for gas emergencies.

    Firefighter 1 - Structure CALSTAR training.

     

     

    Emergency Medical Services Orientation

      Progressive hoselay.

    Basic Wildland

      Emergency decon.

     

     

    and Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations

     

     

    The districts offer training in a wide variety of subjects from Apparatus Operator Driving and Pumping to Fire Instructor 1 to Firefighter 1 & 2. Emergency Medical Services training is given for CPR and continuing education credits to keep those certifications.
