Working Hours and Locations

0900 to 1900.

The seasonals will work out of Station 15 (north county) and Station 4/5 (south county) and will work directly for the on-duty Battalion Chief.

Staffing

Three seasonals per apparatus most days.

A Lead Seasonal will be on each day for intra-crew supervision.

The closest seasonal brush truck will be dispatched on every 1st alarm wildland fire. The second sesonal apparatus will only respond if directed or on any 2nd alarm.

Season Goals:

Provide a seasonal wildland program which will allow the Districts to staff at least two (2) Type III fire engines , seven days a week, ten hours per day, for a minimum of sixteen weeks.

Provide resources for the risk assessment and operational support information for urban interface areas within the East Fork Fire District, including the pre-suppression plans.

Provide resources to assist homeowners in fuels management programs within the East Fork Fire District.

Seasonal resources will be encouraged to maintain a high profile within the urban interface areas they are assigned to protect.
