Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal Job Description

The position is open until filled. All applications and required documentation must be received by the East Fork Fire Protection District no later than 4:00 PM (PST) on Friday, May 24, 2019. The first review of applications will take place the first week in June 2019. Applications and resumes will be screened in relation to a weighted screening matrix with assigned value to both the required and preferred criteria outlined in this document, as well as individual years of experience. The top five (5) candidates with relevant qualifications will be invited to participate in the testing process and Chief's Interview, which is tentatively scheduled for the week of June 17 through June 21, 2019. The goal is to offer the position to the successful candidate on June 24, 2019. Reference checks will be conducted after receiving the candidate's permission. A complete description of the assessment center and interview process will be provided to the top five (5) applicants who successfully pass the initial screening process.

Applicants selected as finalists for the position will be subject to a criminal history, credit check, driving history and driver's license check prior to the District Chief's interview. Information from the applicant's resumes may be subject to public discloser. All job offers will be made in writing.
